The honest date
You booked this for the end of September. It will be mid-October. Two things pushed it: the quality control took longer than planned, and the shipment travels by sea rather than air — about 45 days.
I am sorry for the extra wait. I would rather give you the real date now than a hopeful one I have to correct again later.
What the extra days bought you
Before a single bag was loaded, we went through the run in the factory — seams, zippers, hardware, the pass-through, the lining, the embossed logo. Every bag checked against spec, then sleeved and boxed.
It cost us days. It also means the bag that reaches you has been looked at by us, not just signed off by someone else. That trade I’ll make every time.
The bag itself
This is yours — photographed on the inspection table, before it went into its dust sleeve.
Thank you for your patience — genuinely. You ordered this bag before the first stitch existed, and that order is the only reason there is a production run at all. Pre-orders ship first, in the order they were placed, before anything goes on general sale.
Nothing for you to do. If your delivery address has changed since you ordered, just reply and we’ll update it.
And honestly — we can’t wait to get these bags out to you so they can start flying. That is what they were built for.
This Thursday, 20 August, the first production run of The Co-Pilot comes off the line — three hundred bags. Most of them already have a pilot’s name on them: the ones who pre-ordered a bag that didn’t exist yet, voted on every design change, and waited eight months for it.
You joined the waitlist but didn’t pre-order. That’s fair — it’s a lot to ask, buying something from a drawing. So here is the one window that exists between the pre-order price and the shelf price:
